Yalamanjili Satyanarayana Choudhary or Srujana Choudhary or Sujana Choudhary was born on 2 June 1961 (Age 60 years; Until 2021) in Kanjikacherya Village, Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh. He currently resides in Lodhi Estate, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi. In 1984, Mr. YS Chowdhury completed his graduation in Mechanical Engineering from Chaitanya Bharati Institute of Technology (CBIT), Hyderabad. Later in 1986, he completed his Masters in Mechanical Engineering from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

In honor of his grandfather, a retired IPS officer, Mr. Named after YS Chaudhary. His father, Y Janardhana Rao, was a Superintending Engineer, Government of Andhra Pradesh, who worked in the Andhra Irrigation and Power Department.

On 6 August 1989, Mr. YS Chaudhary Y. Married to Padmaja Chowdhury and blessed with two children. His son’s name is YS Karthik and his daughter’s name is Y. Naga Chandini.
After being elected to the Rajya Sabha from Andhra Pradesh on behalf of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Mr. YS Chaudhary’s political career began in 2010. Since then, he has been a part of several parliamentary committees and was appointed Minister of State for Science and Technology and Geosciences in 2014. Due to his popularity and social welfare work, his political career rose and became very high. Important fundraiser for TDP. Before joining the Rajya Sabha, he was a member of the Indo-Singapore Parliamentary Friendship Committee, the Parliamentary Standing Committee and the Parliamentary Forum, and was a member of the Hyderabad Telecom District Committee and the Task Force on Clean Energy created by Chaitanya, Columbia Law School, USA. Bharati Institute of Technology Management Committee and Court of Hyderabad University. In 2016, he was re-elected to the Rajya Sabha for a second term. He is currently appointed Rajya Sabha MP for Andhra Pradesh from Bharatiya Janata Party.
Under the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojna (SAGY) scheme, Mr. YS Chowdhury has adopted. Ponnavaram village is 60 km from Vijayawada in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh. As part of the programme, he has taken various initiatives to make the area a model village. In the last two years, he has installed digital classrooms in local government schools, and improved the village’s medical and infrastructural facilities like toilets, cement roads and more.
Mr. YS Chowdhury founded the Sujana Charitable Trust in 2007, with the aim of supporting two schools in Chennai specifically run for children with special needs. Through this foundation, he also supported old age homes in Hyderabad. It also awards scholarships and merit awards to outstanding students in the fields of sports, social entrepreneurship, education, engineering, agriculture, rural development and poverty alleviation.
