Kiranraj K’s adventure comedy 777 Charlie is currently having a dream run at the box office, the film recently crosses Rs 50 Cr mark in India which is a huge feat for a small budget film like Charlie.
And now Rakshit led this film eying the lifetime target of Rs 75 Cr nett India. The film is currently in its second week run at the box office, it had an amazing second weekend of Rs 18.5 Cr (Fri, Sat, and Sun) in the domestic market.
Now Eying Rs 50 Cr in Karnataka
777 Charlie saw a jump in the collections on Sunday, home state government’s decision to make the film tax-free in the state benefits its collections. It saw a growth of 22.06% compared to Saturday collections and earned Rs 8.3 crores on Day 10. The total collection of the film now stands over Rs 57 crores.
Rakshit starrer is performing very well in the home market (Karnataka), so far it has reached Rs 44 crores in the state and now eying Rs 50 Cr, it is expected that the film will cross the feat through the weekdays.
Tax free in Karnataka
Recently Karnataka Govt, declared the film tax-free in the state, it came into effect on June 19(Sunday). C.M Basavaraj Bommai had watched the film few days back in a special screening hosted by the makers where the politician couldn’t hold back his tears after watching the film. The state GST will not be levied on the ticket sales of the film for the period of six months.
Box Office Collection Day 11
As per the recent reports, 777 Charlie saw an overall morning occupancy of 9.26% in the home state, the trend in the occupancy rate is expected to increase during the afternoon and evening shows.
As per the early estimation, it will earn Rs 3.2 Cr** on Monday (Day 11) to take the total India collections of the film to over Rs 60 crores.
