At present, the cruise control system has been updated a lot. Adaptive cruise control system has started coming in many cars now. In such a situation, if you have not yet understood the adaptive cruise control system properly or there is any confusion about it, then let us tell you about it.
What is an Adaptive Cruise Control System?
The Adaptive Cruise Control system is an advance from the normal cruise control system and works automatically. It makes driving smooth. Just like you used to set the speed in the normal cruise control system, similarly the speed of the car has to be set in the adaptive cruise control system. But, here you have to do one more thing. Along with setting the speed, you also have to set the distance between your car and the vehicle ahead of you.
Let’s say you set a speed of 80 kmph and set a distance of 20 metres. Now your adaptive cruise control will automatically work to maintain both these settings. If there is a vehicle in front of your car within a distance of less than 20 meters, then the adaptive cruise control will automatically reduce the speed of your car and if there is no vehicle in this distance, then the adaptive cruise control will reduce the car speed back to 80 km. Will bring it to the set speed per hour.
