Directed by Razneesh Ghai, ‘Dhaakad’ is a story of a ferocious and strong international spy, who lands on an action-filled adventure with flaming guns. The movie stars Kangana in a full-on action-packed role.
The movie is written by Chintan Gandhi and Rinish Ravindra, it is an action-thriller, jointly produced by Sohel Maklai Productions and Asylum Films and co-produced by Qyuki Digital Media. This is screenwriter Ritesh Shah’s first alliance with Kangana Ranaut.
An interesting fact about Dhaakad is that Kangana had undergone 3 months of extensive training for the role of spy officer Agent Agni. She will be seen in an avatar that was never seen before. Though earlier she has been a part of action movies like Krish 3, Rangoon, and Manikarnika- The Queen of Jhansi, ‘Dhaakad’ is a step ahead of them.
Dhaakad Star Cast & Release Date & OTT Info
On the day of Dhaakad’s wrap-up, Kangana said that her character will live in her beyond the film. The actress announced the date on social media along with a new poster. The movie also features Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutta, which was scheduled to release on October 1 this year but postponed again, no reason revealed by the makers.
The OTT releases date of the Dhaakad & platform is not finalized yet, currently, Kangana’s Thalaivi is available on the OTT platform. We expect the same will occur with the movie Dhaakad. We will update this section soon.
The movie focuses on the female protagonist Kangana Ranaut as an international spy. Her role is that of Agent Agni in Dhaakad, which she said is ‘India’s first female-led action thriller’. Arjun Rampal plays the role of a villain, Rudraveer. The movie also features Divya Dutta and Mahaakshay Chakraborty.
According to The Indian Express, Kangana had earlier said, “Dhaakad is not just a benchmark for my career but a turning point for Indian cinema as well. The film is a unique female-led action film.”
“There will be no looking back for women in Indian Cinema if the movie is a success. My friends, Sony and Razy, and I have been planning this project for quite some time now. I am very excited about the film and wish to start working on it as soon as possible,” she said.

Dhaakad Budget & Box Office Prediction
Kangana’s another big film to face Corona-pandemic time, so we can’t expect much from Indian Box Office as we witnessed the result of Bell Bottom and Thalaivi. But Dhaakad is one of the most expensive films of Kangana’s career, budget is around 70-80 Crore.
During the shooting days, Kangana Ranaut talked too much about her role as an action actress, she promised that this action adventure will be a benchmark in Bollywood, claimed to be the first action female star in the Industry.
