Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has attacked MNS chief Raj Thackeray over the latter’s demand for elimination of loudspeakers from mosques, saying the state can not afford the alleged divisive name given “to please someone eyeing polls”.

Without naming Raj Thackeray, Mr Pawar requested what the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief was going to realize by making such statements and whether or not “provoking” folks will remedy the difficulty of their livelihood.
