Natural Star Nani’s upcoming film ‘Shyam Singha Roy’ is releasing in a big way on 24th of this month. The film, whose production phase has reportedly already wrapped, has also been censored with a U/A certificate for its content.
The film will reportedly have a run-time of 157 minutes and is said to be a supernatural romantic thriller directed by Rahul Sankrityan.

It is set in the backdrop of Kolkata and is based on the theme of reincarnation, which is said to bring a whole new experience to theaters during the Christmas holiday season.

Natural Star Nani, who previously worked as S.S. Rajamouli’s re-avatar film ‘Eega’ reportedly churned out another career-best performance, having also excelled in action sequences in it.
Nani will reportedly be seen in a double role, where her characters romance with the characters of both Sai Pallavi and Kriti Shetty in the film. Actress Sai Pallavi will reportedly steal your heart as Devadasi and her performance is a huge asset to the film.
Mickey J. Meyer’s chartbuster album for the songs of Sirivanella, who tragically passed away a few days ago, tops the chart and the background score is also said to be really good. Sanu Johan Varghese’s cinematography is top-notch and Avinash Kolla’s art direction brings Kolkata to Hyderabad.
SSR has been made with a massive budget of Rs 60 crore and will be the most expensive film ever for Natural Star.

In Rahul Sankrityan’s second film, Nani plays dual roles who live in two different time zones. One is the story of a young filmmaker Vasu whose story is set in present-day Hyderabad and the other is of a writer named Shyam Singha Roy from 60s Kolkata. “It will be really exciting to see how the stories of these two characters connect. This is a very unique love story.

The Malayalam trailer of the film was unveiled by the makers of the film at the Royal Event in Kochi today.
The trailer gave a glimpse into the world of Shyam Singh Roy and Vasu. It begins on a lighter note, with Vasu as Nani attempting to make his debut as a director.
He quit his software job to pursue a career in film production. Actress Kriti Shetty has been cast as the female lead. The second half of the trailer is completely opposite to the first.
We see Shyam Singh Roy, a popular writer from Bengal in the 1960s. This man is madly in love with the character of actress Sai Pallavi Pallavi.
Nani plays the role of Shyam Singha Roy. Actor Rahul Raveendran and actress Madonna Sebastian are also seen in the trailer.
Sanu John Varghese is the cinematographer of the film, while composer Mickey J Meyer graces the scenes with his background score. Together, the two created a different atmosphere for the episodes of Kolkata. Editing is done by Naveen Nooli.
The original story of the film is curated by Satyadev Janga. Kriti Mahesh and Yash Master have choreographed the songs of the film.
Actors Rahul Ravindran, Murli Sharma and Abhinav Gomatam will be seen in pivotal roles in the film.
‘Shyam Singh Roy’ will release in the following languages- Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam in cinemas on December 24.
