Dr Celine Counter

Selena Counter is an American epidemiologist, filmmaker, medical journalist, epidemiologist and in-physician. As of 2021, he is currently working at the Grossman School of Medicine at New York University and has worldwide experience with HIV infections. Dr. Counter was also elected the third Indo-US member of US President Joe Biden’s Govt – 19 Advisory Council.

Counter was born in the United States in 1977 (Age 43 years; As in 2020) To a French mother from Normandy and a Tamil Indian father from a small village in Erode, Tamil Nadu. Celine Counter holds a bachelor’s degree in molecular biology from Princeton University and a master’s degree from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in 2000. In 2004, he received his doctorate in medicine from the University School of Medicine in Washington. Industry

His first post was as a postgraduate researcher at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg Public Health School, where he studied tuberculosis (TB) and HIV in sub-Saharan Africa. He has also served as Director of Delivery in the AIDS and Tuberculosis Coalition, funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Later, he joined the New York City Department of Health and Mental Health and worked on tuberculosis control in the city. He has also served as a medical journalist on TEDMED’s editorial board to address public health issues. On November 9, 2020, he was appointed a member of US President Joe Biden’s Govt-19 Advisory Board, one of the greatest achievements of his career.
